“Shame and anger” at plastic ocean pollution

The question is how do we respond to criticism that while plastics are scientific miracles that provide huge benefits in so many everyday applications, they are invading the deepest parts of the oceans and damaging sea and birdlife. The answer must be found in swift and positive action to stop plastics leaving the land and entering waterways and oceans. The media is showing that we are not good custodians of the land where all these plastics come from, yet this can change if we make this a priority for immediate action. We must Catch Plastics.
