Rubbish already building up at UK recycling plants due to China import ban

We have a problem when journalists see recyclables as rubbish rather than resources. How do we expect the public to value and segregate these materials if the media implants the concept of low value by their choice of words. We are heading for big changes in infrastructure if we are to efficiently deal with the volume of plastics and we need to rapidly build the circular economy options for the many plastics that we currently produce. DEFRA need to do more than the ban on micro-plastics and the shopping bag tax to tackle food, household and cosmetic packaging.
